After over 20 years off the bike I would like to once again become a member of the greatest cycling club in Port Talbot.
Who best to get in touch with?
Cheers,
Matt Smith (the old Matt Smith - I believe there's a new one now! - formerly of Baglan, son of Phil)

Hi Matt - the above will give a few options but just turn up on a Friday club night or turn up and ride a Saturday or a Sunday. Les Thomas is our club sec' nowadays but I also have club membership forms with me at the Thursday night TT's so if you're near Resolven or Glynneath on a Thursday evening just pop-in.
Nice to hear that you're rejoining btw. Not much has changed really... Will still looks 70! _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

Haha, I actually saw a photo of Will the other day and thought he was ageing very well! I also hear that Selwyn is still a powerhouse.
You don't happen to have an email address for Les do you? It's likely to be a little while before I'm back in PT.

Well this is a little bit strange! Like talking to myself over the internet
Is it you that's entered the Oxonian CC 10 by any chance Matt? Eagle eyed Stuart spotted Matt Smith from Port Talbot Wheelers is on the start sheet so I was wondering whether I should be driving to Oxford for a TT tomorrow!
All the best for it if it is you

This could get awkward.
Rather than have Matt Smith 1 and Matt Smith 2 I hereby propose that the original Matt Smith from the 1990's claims ownership of the name and the new Matt Smith adopts the new name of 'Longsocks' _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

Hahaha! The nays have it!
We'll be referring to each other by CTT membership number before long!
New/old Matt fortunately had the foresight to appear on the start sheet as Matt J Smith, so I'll stick to Matthew Longsocks. I mean Smith. Matthew Smith.
