Not a brilliant weather forecast but with 36 hours to go let's hope things improve as this is our last Club 10 until Bastille Day!

Meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.15hrs to 18.45hrs and an approximate 19.00hrs start. No one will be allowed to sign on after 18.45hrs and it is important that the timekeeper is not disturbed or distracted after this time.

Those riders starting early are kindly asked to refrain from distracting the timekeeper at the finish line and to not drive out of the car park until all competitors have finished.

IMPORTANT!

The Port Talbot Wheelers are no longer offering informal entry on the line on our Thursday night club events and entry is now restricted to PTW Club Members and second-claim club members.

PORT TALBOT WHEELERS – CLUB EVENT 19/05/16 – COURSE: R10/23

By consensus the event was transferred onto the back road.

POS. RIDER CLUB / TEAM TIME POINTS
1 CHRIS JONES RBW 22.37
2 ROSS MORGAN ACME 24.48
3 CHRIS LEE MCC 25.28
4 MATTHEW SMITH PTW 25.49 20pts
5 MARK ANDREWS MCC 26.07
6 RICHARD HEIR ECC 26.27
7 LES THOMAS PTW 27.25 19pts
8 JOHN DEELEY PTW 28.31 18pts
9 SELWYN BOWEN PTW 29.00 17pts
10 HOLLIE LABUNSKY PTW 30.50 16pts
11 KARYS HOCKIN PTW 31.30 15pts
12 JOHN THOMAS PTW 31.52 14pts
- SIMON DENNY PTW DNF-P

Quite frankly I'm amazed that 13 people signed on the dotted line on a wet night (lunatics the lot of you) but the bad luck associated with 13 fell on Simon Denny who punctured. A great ride by Chris Jones (no, not that one) took the win and Matthew Smith grabbed the 20 points and a back road PB. Well done everyone.

Big thanks to Nigel Jones for pushing off and for kindly collecting Simon Denny.

Thanks Alf, but I was wrong about it being a course PB- I was convinced 26:12 was my previous PB, but I did a 25:33 in your open

I'll have to make up for it when we use the course again in August

Thanks to you, Nigel and Dan for getting soaked for us
