It has been proposed in the committee meetings that we get feedback from members whether there would be interest in ordering bib shorts/tights with better chamois pads.

We need a minimum order of 10 garments, the cost is around £5 extra though this needs to be confirmed from the supplier.

My opinion for what it's worth is, can we have a sample to compare it to what we have got, before we fork out another fiver? The current inserts are ok, but if there is a noticeable difference then I will definitely buy a couple of pairs.

I'd take 2 new Bib Shorts in white only. Be interested in the 'Forma Red Carbon' team kit too, I know Dave Crowley asked questions regarding this race fit kit a little while back, I own a few of this range & really is Top Notch quality.

On this subject I emailed Daron at Giordana about getting hold of some of the 'Red Carbon' kit. This is the top of the line racing kit, Cwmcarn are offering this as an option for their club kit.

If there’s enough interest we can mount your current design on the FRC template to show members & approve.


You're basically looking at £55 - 65 for a jersey and similar for bibshorts. All other kit (tights, gilet etc) are also available.

I think minimum orders are 40 items - would there be interest? (so we'd need about 13 people to order bibs, jersey and gilet)

PS - just asked for some samples, as soon as they arrive I'll bring them down the club

With NO response, I take it there's very little interest to upgrade to far superior kit???

It is progressing, there are discussions regarding pricing and whether our sponsors are willing to contribute to the improved kit or whether members are to pay full price.

Currently we get a discount of £20 per garment which is paid for by our sponsors. If sponsors are happy to provide the same discount per item then each garment in the improved kit will also be reduced by £20. This is yet to be confirmed.

When we do make an order, due to the increased costs we will require a deposit from members as people in the past have been known to order kit and not collect it.
