While the police were at Spots house following the bike theft on New years eve they pointed out something about Strava users being targeted by thieves as the app pretty much gives a thief all they need to know to steal your bike.

It's important to set up a privacy zone in your settings so that it doesn't show your house on your rides. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the following link.

You can set up more than one privacy zone if it is still obvious where you live, just use another postcode from a street a few hundred metres away as well.

For the really paranoid you may want to not give your full name as this can be searched using such sites as 192.com. It's alarmingly easy to find your address from your name.
