While the mild weather is here and possibly into spring, I am looking at doing longer distances on Saturday mornings by getting out early and doing a bit before joining the10:30 ride at the Plaza for the usual café stop.
As the forecast for tomorrow morning looks reasonable, I am looking at riding throughPort Talbot around 8am and riding tempo up the valley and over the Bwlch, turning at the Clock Tower in Nantymoel and returning the same route. Not sure if this will appeal to many, but if many takers and different abilities I would suggest the group could split and the lead pack go the full course, while others may feel inclined to climb only 1 side and wait at the top.
Timing may be tricky to get right but hopefully 2.5 hrs should be enough to meet the regular ride.
Post here if interested and I will see you at the Plaza at 8am.
If no interest, I intend turning at Taibach rugby club traffic lights.

What ever happened to those cracking 09:30 rides from the Plaza. Up St Marys Hill, through and off from Llantwit. Ogmore loop if you are fit enough. Happy times long ago. _______________ sleep is for the weak

Only 2 of us today, good ride where I was put in my place on both sides of the Bwlch.
All in all an enjoyable ride and surprised how many others we passed, unfortunately not PTW members.
Hope mild weather lasts and more interest from members next week.
Post if keen and committed
