This Sunday we are all heading west.

From the plaza we'll head to Briton ferry bridge following the cycle path the to the road at the rear of Amazon, We'll then follow the cycle path to Swansea then on to Clyne Valley and Loughor. Next we'll go to the Millennium path for a nice flat ride, with a stop in Pembrey Country Park for refreshments. Retrace route for the return.

The Ramblers leave the Plaza at 9:30 through Swansea at 10:15 the Rest leave at 10:00 am passing through Swansea at 10:40.

This is a nice flat ride so be there or be square.. 8)

I rode along that road behind Amazon earlier today. What a cracking road, no cars on it at all but even if there were the cycle path is really good too. Nice and wide.

Great Turn out today guys even if it was a bit wet. By my calculations 33 riders turned out today with 31 taking bread at the pavilion after Alf Popped in to see his mam in Swansea and Mark took a flyer straight back home.

Apart from looking back to see a posse of over 30 riders out..... In the rain...... There were a couple of highlights for me....

Quote of the day, Kevin Rattenbury "Lets go down the cycle path as we'll hit all the Traffic lights going into Swansea..."To then get caught on the swing bridge and wait an eternity as they got all the little yachts out of the harbour. :D

Pip Breaking a chain and Richard Gower Suggesting On a day like this If I was Pip I'd head off to the chain station? ;)

All in all with the exception of cold feet..... A pretty good day me thinks. But Where do you fancy next week. We've not yet tried the Café Velo in Llantwit so that could be a good idea, however they only have 28 seats so If we all turn out it could get cosy....... Suggestions on a post card LOL ;)

ummm!, hoped that one had gone unnoticed, ,but, in my defence if we had stayed on the road we wouldn'd have had the pleasure of messrs Bruce and Jones and your head count would have been down (think I may have redeemed me self there ) and anyway!, Dai Triggs said, he was glad we went that way to see all the boats. What a turn out, just like the club runs used to be when I first joined the club 15yrs ago, FAB!. It all stayed together every inch of the way, except when I fell off the back on the mountainous Ferry bridge, boy!, were my legs shot by then. Looking forward to next week. see you all there :D .

Me & Jez went to Cafe Velo on Sunday and I'd highly recommend it. One thing Dave said was if we were planning to go en masse, could we let him know beforehand - ideally with an indication of what time. The reason being he doesn't like to leave people waiting to be served. If he know's we're coming he can plan accordingly.
