Despite the weather getting the better of us yesterday, :'( Can I say a big thank you to Dave, Lynnette, Rhys and CJ for all their efforts to get us to that point. All that effort for a little reward must have been bitterly disappointing however, It did show what the club is capable of and how much support we have when we decide to pull together. :P

From the time we started to put the signs out, to the time when we had all the signs and barriers back in, to see members new and old pulling together was brilliant. I hope the fact the weather intervened does not deter you from trying again next year.

Thank you Les, and thanks to you for all your work too. That included a full 12 hour shift on Sunday, plus loads of help on the paperwork side.

To say we were disappointed is an under statement. I think C.J and I had a little tear at one point yesterday.
But when I Stopped and looked at all of the members who were out helping yesterday, all ages and those conditions I feel proud to be associated with you all.
So a big thank you to all the helpers yesterday. Far too many for me to list here but you know who you are.

The only thing that troubles me is how can you work so hard on day like yesterday but when I put a post up for ride over the Bwlch only one or two you turn up???
I know which is easier!! lol

If there is one good thing to come out off it, the bacon sarny in The Pier Cafe. I know I will be going back for more.

Thanks again

Great effort on you and your family,s part Dave, yes ,it was heartbreaking to see the event cancelled, but under the circumstances, we had no other option, The upside was to see the club pulling together on the day (as well as at Les,s event the previous week).Makes me proud to be a club member, only just coming round. I can,t see why you are troubled ,obviously the club does not like soft options, going over the BWLCH is a lot easier, even for an old fart like myself!
