The club have lost a good captain in Dai :'( Pity he hasn't had the support. Dai hasn't planned long rides that keep people out all day. Hes been fair in that respect. I packed it in for the same reasons as he has. I thought the idea of a club run on a sunday was to get a few extra miles in to build stamina and get your legs used to longer distances. This is usefull if you do the 50 or 100 mile time trials. PLus the sunday ride is a social thing where everyone can relax and enjoy a non competitive pace, and take the mick out of each other.

I know where the club run went on Sunday and it begins with an E and ends with a Y which is why i did not turn up to the Plaza. Until members show me that they are prepared to support future club runs and not turn off after 15 or 20 miles then i do not see any point in trying to organise rides covering a longer distance. I have not stood down as Club Captain however if future club runs are not supported properly i do not see the point in having a Club Captain to organise these Sunday rides and indeed there is no point in having a club run trophy for just going to Ewenny cafe.
