A big congratulations to Hayley Jones on being part of the GB team on taking the gold medal at the chmps for the 4000m team pursuit, not only winning but retaking the world record for the event, which they had set in a previous round. For the benefit of you who do not know Hayley ,she is the daughter of our Australian contingent PHIL and LOUISE JONES,and the niece of our chairman CHRIS JONES, (cj) Very well done

Yes indeed, also for those who don't know, since coming home from Australia earlier in the year, Hayley has regularly turned up on various club rides when they meet up with her training programme.
I have to say, World Junior Team Pursuit Champion.... What an achievement! Outstanding! So..... on Behalf of the Port Talbot Wheelers, Congratulations Hayley, I'm sure Whacker and Lou must feel very proud of your success, as are we all. Now who can I tell that complaints were received earlier in the year about me half wheeling...... A World Champion..... |

Further update Guys, Hayley did another great ride to gain the Bronze medal in the Points race as well. Awesome effort Hayley! I guess we have to say World Class.
