Just like to say I 'ad a right royal hard time of it today, not helped by the fact that not only was I passed by several youngsters who I've never seen before(nice to see them out on their bikes and I hope it continues),but striker passed me aswell.I'd just like to thank Alf who, in an act of total selfless regard on the climb just after the level-crossing came right back through the bunch and took up the rear-guard position,an act I can only suppose was comitted to try and salve my rather wounded pride. Alf, NICE ONE BUDDY.

'Twas only today I found out that you've had an injury. Well done on getting back out.

Ta,Alf.I don't normally talk about my wounds , but seeing as you've asked I dislocated my shoulder in a horriffic surfing accident(some would call mid-life crisis). As you do say, anyhoo I'm on the mend but 6 weeks off the bike is a long time as I found out today.
