Nice one Rhys! I'm sure your blazing ride in the PTWCC hill climb helped your selection chances!

Stage 3 - looked like a tough day in the saddle today, but Rhys is still there, - 63rd (ish) overall, ahead of a few yellow jersey wearers. Great stuff.

We went down to watch the start in Chard yesterday, very heavy rain and a lot of unhappy looking riders.
We then went to the big climb on Exmoor, the one french guy had a 5 minute lead on a chasing group of about 8. Rhys was in the main peleton about 1 minute after these.
We then drove to the finish at Burnham on Sea. A fantastic crowd and a great finish from a French rider who rode away, but the guy who came second was his team-mate who had been away for hours on his own. This was a real top ride.
Rhys finished in the peleton(about 60 riders) 13 mins down. It was a very hard 115 miles.
Spoke to Rhys briefly, looked shattered. Spoke to J.H. his team manager he was happy with his contibution and hopes he can last another couple of days. It was well worth a watch if you have time.

Had a chat to Rhys after todays stage. He is a little disappointed. Finished 10 minutes down.
He will be on way home this evening and says he hopes to see you all Saturday 09:30.
