PTW

The next PTW TT will return to more familiar ground- the usual R10/22A 10 mile TT course starting and finishing at Resolven on Thursday 11th March with a start time of 18:00.

After last week's surprisingly hilly tour of NY Central Park, the flatness of this course should be a welcomed relief for those who were on the wrong side of the w/kg equation!

RGT is free of charge, as are the events. You just need to go to the event page and join the event beforehand, and then on the day join the event at least a few minutes before the start time. There you can warm up or relax while you wait for your start time. Riders will start every 15 seconds, and drafting will not be possible.

Event is open to anyone and everyone, regardless of whether you're a club member. All you need is smart turbo (not necessarily controllable) or a power meter. Speed/cadence sensors are not compatible with RGT.

Tonight we returned to the R10/22A in Resolven. Blue skies and no wind ensured a good time was had by all!

This was of course a road bike TT, and for me that time was in the range that I would expect riding a road bike on that course with that power, so pretty good physics in my opinion.

Tony Howell led the charge, but soon after Rod Hicks was chasing him down at over 6w/kg for a time that didn't seem like it was going to end. With just 15 second starting intervals it wasn't long until we were all underway, so the rest was a bit of a blur.

A welcomed comeback from Owain will hopefully provide good motivation for the coming months.
