Despite it being a tough old night, with a stiff headwind to the turn, there were some good rides tonight and some fierce competition.
Gareth Davies got us underway but at the finish line all talk was about Stuart's skinsuit and who would get back first. I went for Brad, Dai went for Hollie and Nigel went for Selwyn who was indeed first rider back closely followed by Hollie. Chris Allen made a rare appearance but his Mumbles commute worked wonders with a solid 24:51 on a windy old night.
Pip Lewis was our 'comeback kid' and despite some mechanical gremlins our boy knocked out a respectable time of 26:30 - see you in 2018 Pip. Our visiting middle-markers, Gareth Hill and Jeff Rees, did well and seem to be coming back to some form.
Karl Rees gets my vote for 'man of the match' breaking into the Top 5 with a 23:10 and a PB whilst Owain sneaked another '22' and is all set for another breakthrough ride on the decent night that just has to come over the next three weeks. Not much separates Mike Portlock and Neil Seaward these days and tonight was no exception with Neil getting the nod by just 7 seconds. That just left 'The Warewolf' to take on the howling headwind (see what I did there?) and storm back with a 21:32. Well done Dean!
