It's our final 10-miler on the dual-carriageway and I'm on the watch.

Signing on is between 18.00hrs and 18.20hrs at the Resolven Canal Car Park and then regroup over on the Resolven Industrial Estate for a prompt 18.30hrs start. As always, new members are especially welcome.

Entry is free to club members and second-claim club members and £3 for riders from other clubs affiliated to Cycling Time Trials.

A reminder that this week is the final club event on the dual-carriageway and is followed by two events in September on the back road. I'm looking for a timekeeper for the event on September 4th please.

After that, on the weekend of September 20th/21st we have the new Hill Climb double-header weekend with Norton on the Saturday and the Bwlch on the Sunday - both integrated into the normal club rides. Can the same rider win on both climbs?

Firstly, well done to everyone for remembering the new start time. As I was setting the field I was waiting for someone to turn up late and cock things up but, fair play, all 19 brave souls were there in good time. It was a bit cool and a bit breezy but some good times were done nevertheless.
