It's with a great deal of sadness that I have to inform the club that long time member
Christopher Braiden (Sparky)unfortunately lost his battle with cancer in the early hours of this morning. He died peacefully in hospital surrounded by close family. We will keep you informed of funeral arrangements as they become available.

A complete shock and very sad news indeed. Our deepest sympathy to the families. _______________ "The most important thing in life is not to have the most, but to need the least.” Plato (my favourite Disney character).

Very sad news.
I only got to know sparky during our end 2 end trip & we had some great hill climbing battles over the 10 days, such a shame he couldn't win this battle.
Thoughts are with his family & friends at this sad time.

I had been in contact with Chris after his diagnosis. I was convinced that if anyone was going to win this battle it would have been him. How wrong I was! I spoke to him about 7 weeks ago and had received text messages from him giving me updates on his progress. I can't believe that in such a short time he is no longer with us.
A number of members are planning to attend his funeral at 2 pm Thursday 4 th Sept @ Bournemouth crematorium- If any of the End to End boys have some memories they would like to share please email me dms1359@gmail.com so i can write a few words for his Eulogy at the service. Asap
Our deepest sympathy to all his family and friends.
