I'm grateful to Peter Jones and Pip Lewis for letting me know that there are roadworks on the back road making a 15-miler difficult and possibly making a 10-miler difficult too. I'll try and get there a bit earlier and make a decision on what we do - probably a short '10' on a backroad. We'll see...

For the avoidance of any doubt, we cannot use the dual-carriageway as Police Forms were not submitted.

It's the second and last of our two 15-mile club events this week and I'm on the watch so set your TiVo or Sky widget to record the Tour de France highlights and come and have a go (if you think you're hard enough).

Signing on is between 18.30hrs and 18.45hrs at the Resolven Canal Car Park and then we'll regroup on the back road close to Glynneath for a prompt 19.00hrs start.

Entry is free to club members and second-claim club members and £3 for guest riders from other clubs affiliated to Cycling Time Trials. As always, new members are especially welcome - just introduce yourself and we'll ease you in.

Went for an abbreviated version of the '15' variously reported to be between 13 miles to 13.5 miles.

1 LYN JONES EC CYCLES 29:57
2 ANTHONY COWDRY EC CYCLES 31:20
3 HEATH WILLIAMS CELTIC TRI 35:43
4 TERRY JONES PTW 38:44 20

Spare a thought for Morgan Hendry who punctured upon arrival at Resolven before signing on. 'Comeback Kid' Terry Jones bagged the twenty points and has probably shot up the rankings!
