Another super turn out with eleven on the ramblers ride and seven on the faster ride.

Joining us today were, Tony and Shirley Howell, Caroline ?, Nigel, Tony and ?? from Neath, John Willy, Alf, Michael Davies, Bevan, Myself and Tony Hadley. Although Tony Turned at Pyle. The route taken was a variation on the Saturday 10:30 ride heading to Bryntirion from Kenfig hill and then joining the bike path at brewery field before heading to Bryngarw Café. Just to make it interesting, I decided that as we are nearing the season end we ought to include a little cyclo-cross just before the café..... This seemed to work as it certainly woke a few up. ;)

There was one climb in the route today and everyone looked comfortable going over the top.

:P

Seems there was far too much smiling and enjoying themselves going on in the peloton even as they went over the top of the climb of the day. By all accounts and this continued up the bike path to Bryngarw Café, where we were met by seven from the faster group. Selwyn, Richard Gower, Jez Jones, Mark Thomas, Steve (Speedster) Williams, Mark Hillier and Phil Collier. After a nice coffee and some banter we all came back via the boardwalk and parc Slip.

Nice to see Bevan out today although he lacks a few teeth after his escapade with a Jaguar Car........ Rumour has it that he tried a re-make the Peter Sagan Video by riding up the back of a parked car and parking it on a bike rack......Bevan though.......... only got as far as the bonnet!!!!!

Ah!, you see that's where I went wrong. I went on the cycle path just where you've taken the photos. I should have read the itinerary before leaving and not when I got home ;) . see you next week!

Hi Les, is the board walk the cycle path I travelled on today?

Hi Kev,
Not sure how far you went but yes, eventually. The board walk goes from Tondu up to the Parc Slip Nature reserve. I think the route you took gets you to the nature reserve but it then depends if you crossed the road and continued to Tondu.

If that makes sense.
