PTW

Going East, through some lanes, down some hills (And up!), heading for Blackmill and cafe. Enjoying the sun and smelling the flowers.
10am at the Plaza.

Well, we certainly enjoyed the sun! .
Good turn out for the ramblers this week with Little John, Peter Jones, Kara, Abbey, Bev, young Ceri with mam and Dad Gwyn and Gary, Will, Dai Triggs and little ol' me. We went East in beautiful sunshine and turned up the Pen-Y-bryn lanes where we met Bow. Made our way to Tondu where we picked up the cycle path to Blackmill and a welcomed cuppa.
It is now noticable that fitness levels are rising amongst the newbies. Kara is working hard on the hills and looking better every week. Abbey has improved the most and was on the front a couple of times today, keeping up a decent pace up. She even went past me (Not uncommon I hear you say!) on a little hill and verbally abused me. She is now in my little black book for future revenge .
Bev has always gone well and could obviously cycle a lot further.
Great to see young Ceri out (With her parents) and was very impressed with her pedalling and stamina (She is only 12 yrs old!!). She did have a bit of a tumble going over a low kerb to the Parc Slip cyclepath, but she soon recovered (Tough as nails!), got back on her bike and within a mile she was winding Will up, just like 12yr olds do!
We returned home via the Parc Slip cycle path and lanes. Got back to the Plaza at half past one after covering 30 sun kissed miles. Another good day for the ramblers.

Crowley where were you! u missed an epic yesterday, a certain Mr Hugh wilson aka young and ambitious athlete. Turned up and learned more survival skills and training techniques from Selwyn and Spot yesterday that he has gone home to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror!

Ha ha! I would have brought shame on the club... I can barely get out of Porthcawl before blowing these days!

There is always the rambler ride to go on Davey! We would look after you as nobody gets shelled out on that ride.
