So don't forget, an extra hour in bed this Saturday night, so we will all be fresh on Sunday morning! The usual 10am at the Plaza and going East. I propose we take in a few lanes, climbs and downhills before we eventually get to Ewenney cafe. Hope for a good turnout, and all newbies will be more than welcome.

After a night of rain that would have excited Noah and his pets, Sunday morning turned out to be damp but rain free. The ramblers set off East, just after the main club run, which looked well attended. Our ride consisted of Kara, Abbey, Dai Triggs, Will, Pip, Bev and me. We were joined by Jez as we made our way to Margam tumps. Bev jumped onto the back of the main clubrun to see how his fitness was progressing.
We made for Laleston via the lanes and eventually Ewenney cafe. Everything was steady with a lot of chat going on amongst the peleton. Pip acquired a set of mudguards at the cafe (Don't ask, 'cos I aint explaining here), which I stuffed down the back of his top so that he could get them home (You couldn't have made it up). Leaving the cafe we were joined by Les, Little John and Bev. Our route back was the same as the Saturday morning route, only a little slower! Got back to the Plaza at 1315hrs after doing a total of just over 27 miles. Everyone safe and happy, and not a drop of rain. ![]() _______________ Born to ride (Unless it's raining ) |
