How about a return to a 2pm start for the Gentleman's bash on a Friday in an attempt to miss the Margam traffic chaos.

Half term traffic was ok, but outsde this the traffic going into Taibach, at the time we are entering this part of town, is terrible. The other day it was back to the new roadworks on the dual! Riding through the traffic jam spoils a nice Friday ride. While Bill's suggestion is attractive, the cost may be a problem (Lol). Many a time I've enjoyed this ride, only to be stressed out by the time I get back into PT, due to the traffic, and as you know, even ended up in hospital once! I'm with you on this one Jeff. Well its worth a try anyway. 2pm this Friday is ok with me.

2pm start time not supported as well as I had hoped, in fact I started on my own from the Plaza and met up with Bowen at Margam Park. The rain held off untill we were sat in the cafe on Porthcawl sea front, so it was a lonley damp ride back. On the brighter side the traffic from Margam to Taibach was fine, no hold up's.
Try again with a 2pm start this coming Friday if anyone is interested. |
