Well what a resounding success........

We set up the rollers and waited.........and waited...................and waited.....
Ian Davies turned up on his Bike.... Are you competing........ NO! :'(

Chris Allen turned up without a bike......are you competing No! James turned up.... without a bike....... Are you competing .... No!........ Where's Disco....... Polishing his handlebar tape......... ;)

What a shambles....... All was going down hill until our newest, youngest riders............ Obviously the competitive the future of the club stood up and said....... We've never even seen rollers before........ But We'll have a Go......... 8)

First we had heats...... 100m time trials on Iorri's bike

Iorri (3 years old) recorded 21 seconds
Jordon Dickerson (12 years old) recorded 18 seconds
Ceri Jones (Lady Member 12 years old) was a very close second with 19 seconds 8)

Then we got Jordon's bike set up and both Ceri and Jordon took part in a 250m time trials....

First off the blocks was Jordon Dickerson who put in a sterling effort and recorded 28 seconds for the 250m
Next up was our youngest Lady Member Ceri Jones......................another excellent effort and she also recorded 28 seconds. 8)

Final races of the evening were sprint heats. first up Iorri on his bike on the red rollers over 125m against Jordon on His bike over 250m.

Both boys, determined not be beaten put in seriously major efforts which meant that the guys holding them up had major difficulties.......as tired legs and bursting lungs kicked in the handling seemed to go and Jordon who was well ahead at the time came off the rails and eventually clocked 30 seconds for 250m narrowly missing out to Iorri who recorded 29 seconds for the 125m :P

Next up was to be a single time trial for Ceri to try to beat Jordons time, however Iorri, a young spot through and through put paid to that by getting on his bike to race AGAIN!

Young Spot has surely got his fathers competitive spirit and red faced he awaited the off. 5...4....3....2....1.... go Once again they both set off at a cracking pace.. Ceri took an early lead and once again those holding her up failed in the task............................... Unfortunately a major "off" meant she could not quite match Jordons Time and she finally recorded 31 seconds for the 250m.... Young Spot couldn't quite match his 29 seconds time and just missed out on a second win recording 32 seconds....... :P

so all in all a good evenings competition with the youngsters showing a seriously competitive spirit......

In two weeks time I'll set the rollers up again and have been promised some senior competition I have also been informed that Ceri will be bringing her own bike.......... so Jordon....... you have been Warned.....

and what of Iorri................................. look out Guys we have a star in the making......

Now...... I want to know........................... is a little spot........ a dot ;)
