PTW

Ok I may not be present for this one as I'm currently incapacitated with a cold. I'll leave it to you guys to decide where you want to go - but 9.30am at the Plaza in any event.

Don't know about the Elite ride but the club run set off at 10:00 and rode to Craig y nos Castle via Neath, Pontardawe and Ystradgynlais. Unfortunately when we got there the castle and the unusual food company were shut. So unperturbed we sent Tud on a Mission to find somewhere (He was in his car). Low and behold the man came up Trumps and chased enthusiastically by some very weary cyclists. Tud found the Gwyn Arms which gave us an excellent welcome and we all warmed up with two cups of superb coffee and a mars bar, all acted out in front of an open fire.

The usual suspects were out (on Bikes), with Spot, Myself, Selwyn, Pip, Nigel Pitt, (Who Is?) JD and Griff (Little Ian was out for the first few miles but had family committments so had to turn early). Tud was resplendant in Blanket and team support vehicle........

Chapeux to new member Jeremy Jones who also joined us having ridden with me from Porthcawl and was surprised to find himself the youngest rider out on the day at a mere 43 years young. Fair play, he was struggling a bit at the end but, did a damn good ride for a "first timer"

Before anyone asks, or spurious rumours permeate the club ethyr, YES JD DID GIVE JEREMY A LIFT BACK TO PORTHCAWL AND YES I TOO JUMPED IN JDs CAR AND HAD A LIFT BACK LIKE THE QUITTING WIMP I HAVE BECOME IN THE COLD WEATHER. (I was late for an important meeting though Honest!)

A big thanks to Team PTW, who all went out of their way to join me at the rear making me feel very welcome today.

Had a great day, despite now having two dead legs, chest pains and a stiff neck

Unlike Les, I had no meeting to go to but gladly appreciated the lift home from JD.

Hope to be out again next weekend.
