17 PTW riders. Is there anyone left not riding?

What's the weather like over there at the moment?? It's Pretty S$%T over in llantrissant. Will it get canceled if this keeps on ?? Just need to know as I don't want to drag my arse over there for no reason.

Well, the event didn't get cancelled, and perhaps I was lucky being first off since I set a decent time. 30 minutes after I started people were DNF'ing like flies.

Mind you that's nothing compared to my journey home. This is the middle of Skewen:



The road was closed and there were breakdown trucks everywhere, although by then all the conked out cars had been started again. This is the puddle the traffic had been tip-toeing through earlier, and I think we can safely surmise that not everyone made it through

What sound exactly does a car make when its exhaust pipe is half full of water? I think a couple of them passed me anyway, limping home by any means

The road was also closed in Glais, but the Fire Brigade let me ride through the mud since I had no front light and it was already getting dark. I think I'm ready for the PTW Open Cyclocross
