Can't the club spend some of that substantial amount it has in the bank and give all club members and their families a FREE B.B.Q.?.

Food for children - FREE
Bouncy castle - FREE substantial BBQ - as good as ... FREE !! The committee did consider not charging anything at all but we decided to charge a nominal figure only to establish commitment and numbers so that we wouldn't end up spending loads of YOUR money on food and then have a poor turnout. _______________ Supporting the club that supports you |

You're really gonna have to forgive my ignorance on this one and probably it's the reason I'm a carpenter and not a financial advisor , BUT, if I spend £5 on a ticket for the BBQ, am I not then spending MY money?
