You always imagine you can avoid things if the unthinkable happens but I was riding behind Pip[/i]and it happened so fast. Our very best wishes to Pip for a speedy recovery. James - look after your Mum, at least you have nice broad shoulders for her to lean on!

Typical !! the first time in many many years that John Pritchard has been behind Pip !!!

Hope you make a speedy and full recovery Pip. I'll come visit when you're home and have got more than cheese and burnt toast to offer

I am shocked as I have just heard about Pip’s accident from some mutual friends. I have not been on the bike or on the group lately, so I have just logged in to express my sorry and to add my family to the list of well wishers.
Pip, my friend please get well soon and kind thoughts to your family
Best wishes from Dave and Anne Edwards

CJ and myself have just returned from a visit to the hospital. Hopefully he is on the road to recovery, but it's going to be a long one.
He was very drowsy and ready for a sleep but was able to share a joke with us about his place in the Wednesday club down Aberavon. He did tell me he wants to get home and was fed up there- so that's a good sign.

Echo what everyone has already said. Horrified at the news, but glad to hear Pip is in good spirits.
We're thinking of you and your family Pip, and hope you make a speedy recovery.

Anything we can do let us know.

Hi All
Just spoken to James and Chris and as Dai commented above, Whilst Pip can get very drowsy he is beginning to moan about being stuck in hospital, the food, the neck brace, the old guy opposite etc etc.

As a result of this continued improvement, Chris has asked me to let you know that visitors would be appreciated from Thursday onwards.

As it is a high dependancy unit there are strict rules about visiting times and numbers of visitors etc. therefore in order to ensure we don't upset the nursing staff, if you do wish to visit, can you contact CJ on 07971 619901 to arrange a time.

Many Thanks

Hi Guys
I've just got back from visiting Pip at the hospital and as Dave said following his visit on Tuesday, he's still quite groggy but continues to improve every day. In between sleeps he's trying to share a joke and obviously the Doctors are less concerned about the injury to his neck as they have removed the neck brace.

Although his arm is in a sling, he does seem to have quite a bit of movement in the shoulder all of which are good signs, so given time I think he'll get there.

It cannot be correct that Pip is on the mend. He bought ALL the drinks for the boys on the gentlemans ride in Porthcawl on Friday
Hope it didn't set back your recovery

All jokes aside, it was great to see PIP looking so well at the 2 up HQ today and the only problem he stated was his teeth still hurt !!!

great to see you mate.
